In 2015, the BMW Motorrad Days hosted the GS Challenge final. This year there are other reasons to join and it won’t be less exciting judging by the program book.

BMW Motorrad is an annual world-wide event. Lucky for us at Outback Motortek, this year’s Canadian event will be in our “backyard”, at the Mosport racetrack. A mere 40 minute drive from our location in Pickering, Ontario. So, how could we miss it? We won’t!

This event will complete the visitors’ weekend by any means. What else would you expect from BMW, right?

You don’t have to own a GS model to enjoy the party. Over the course of the three day event, BMW Motorrad Canada will have its entire demo fleet of new model motorcycles available for test rides. Test rides will be offered on the hour each hour, from 9am – 4pm each day on a first-come, first-ride basis. The rides will be approximately 35 minutes in duration and include a 10-minute orientation on the bikes before each ride.

Those of you who are GS addicts and want to take on one of the BMW off-road models out for a spin, you’re in luck. Off-road test rides will be offered at various times over the weekend on a carefully selected trail system located in and around the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park area. Carve a dirt trail on a variety of BMW Enduro bikes in the environment that they were actually designed for. I can testify to off-road trails near the venue. One of the best trail systems in south eastern Ontario are in the Ganaraska Forest, 10 minutes east of the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Scramblers are back and more exciting than ever, hence BMW has been creating a lot of buzz about their R nine T Scrambler. BMW Canada will officially unveil this brand new bike at the event, along the G310R. Another great reason to join.

Bring your kids! BMW has got your kids covered as well, so your little ones will “kids things” do to. The official BMW Motorrad Days Canada site mentions “Even the smallest BMW Motorrad enthusiast has a place to go now – the BMW Kids Zone. It’s a fun place to hang out, to draw & colour and ride miniature versions of our fabulous people powered products.

Where to find us at the event? BMW Village is what they name the exhibitors’ area. This includes the displaying of authentic BMW products. Certainly one of the busiest areas of the event. The BMW Village is also the place where one can sign up for on-road and off-road training.

Not-so-BMW related news but the BMW Motorrad days is also held on the same weekend as the final of the Canadian Superbike race.

It feels fair to say, that this may a complete weekend for any two-wheel lover.

See you there!
