So which one is it? Is Outback Motortek there to showcase products?
Well, it’s still a yes and no.
Some of you may be familiar with Gionata Nencini, the legendary Italian adventure motorcycle rider, who zig-zagged the globe on a super-tight budget and when he happened to run out of money, then just picked up work somewhere. Watch this video of his multi-year journey and be amazed. Minimalist life 101.
Pretty refreshing and inspiring video but let’s not steer clear of the EICMA topic. Gionata (www.PartirePer.it) and I have been working together for nearly half a year now and he’s given us a plenty of feedback on our Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin accessories that he recently put to test in Iceland!
Gionata also has close ties with BarkBusters, a highly respected Australian handguards manufacturer. BarkBusters setup a nice booth at the EICMA 2017 motorcycle expo and not only Gionata is representing BarkBusters but Outback Motortek as well (on a lot smaller scale)! He’s showcasing our Ultimate Protection Combo which is now proudly showing “battle scars” after tackling Iceland’s rough and remote terrain.
Of course, getting Outback Motortek to the EICMA 2017 in such a way is by no means a big deal, especially while the moto world currently being overwhelmed by the new KTM 790 Adventure, the upgraded 2018 Honda Africa Twin 1000 or how about Yamaha’s latest and greatest mid-weight 700cc Ténéré and let’s not forget BMW’s response to all this via their brand-spanking new F850GS? Regardless, it’s a major milestone for Outback Motortek, just as it is for KTM, Honda, Yamaha and BMW Motorrad. Period.
Having said that, we’re extremely proud to be working such a great, authentic adventure rider like Gionata Nencini.
