We just drop tested our 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R Crash Bars

Not once, not twice, but four times! Why was our 25th (!) official drop test so stressful?

The simple answer is that it’s because it’s a brand new bike and there’s always the risk of doing significant damage.

The long answer is, we wanted to push the limits of the crash bars even farther by not mounting any aftermarket handguards. Handguards tend to offer some relief for the upper portion of crash bars, which is good. It’s best to spread the load, the impact. This time our goal was to “inflict” as much pain on our crash bars as possible.

The rest was fairly usual for Outback Motortek standards: dropping the bike downhill at speeds of about 15-20km/h on rough gravel with rocks embedded in the ground below, and of course some highly abrasive pavement, also slightly sloped.

The results of our 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R crash bars drop tests are fully shown as always. Enjoy the video with no intros and teases, just straight to some jaw dropping crashes. Info about our KTM 390 Adventure R and Enduro products can be found via this link.
