- Hand MIG welded – It’s all about the strength! We continue to follow our philosophy: toughness and functionality over appearance.
- 22mm steel tube with 2mm wall thickness.
- Less is more – One of our goals was to preserve the low center of gravity of the T7 so we kept it simple and lightweight!
- Tough mounting points – No cutting corners here (either)! We used precise laser cut pieces for perfect fitment using 4mm and 5mm thick metal mounts. These parts absorb the impact from drops and tip overs instead of your bike’s chassis.
- Powder coated – Combined with sandblasting, it’s a killer combination to protect the product’s surface. No frills, and tough just like your T7!
Compatibility
Compatible with 2019-2024 all models*.
Note*: The Tenere 700 Extreme mudguard needs to be lowered by 3mm/4mm for our crash bars to fit at the top near the headlight. You will need a couple of washers (not provided) in order to create enough of a gap to fit them.
Compatible with OEM equipped skid plate.
Compatible with OEM ‘Rally’ optional skid plate with these minor modifications.
Confirmed to be compatible with SW-Motech, ACD Racing, and Camel ADV skid plates.

There were no instructions in the box and by that I mean a parts list and torque settings. I say this as I found the stock Bolts into the frame on the bottom bars were to short, but there were extra bolts in the box but no mention if they were a suitable replacement.
I had watched the video but it is not suitable way to relay instructions.
I know it is a simple job but some of the bolts were to short on one side as I had to put the upper bars in the vice to manually adapt them. Not good as I have had to go out and purchase longer bolts, but as there was no parts list I have no idea if there M8,M6 or M10

Thank you for your feedback about our Yamaha Tenere 700 crash bars.
How did you not find the video installation instructions detailed enough? We literally show every step as we installed the lower and upper crash bars.
Also, about the 12mm diameter bolts: If for some reason you didn’t find them in the package we can send them to you free of charge. They’re longer than the OEM ones. It’s also mentioned in the video.
The torque specs are mentioned in the video as well as the parts and hardware list and the recommended tools.

Good solid and sturdy setup (lower bars)!
Good customer service; I wanted to have lower bars without upper bar attachments and that was sorted with no effort.
Only negative feedback comes from instructions. I do have to agree with Jason, that instructions are a bit vague. Video does go thru the whole process but it’s 25min long. 🙄
Also one has to figure out on his own which replaced bolt goes to which side, video doesn’t mention that. (Different length bolts left and right) Mechanics hand is pointing to one bolt while he is talking about another bolt and so forth.
If the torques are mentioned (in English) on video…I did not catch them even thou went thru it twice doing my best to skip Italian commenting.
Don’t get me wrong; still an easy task to do but with little effort the instructions could be way better.
Top notch product, I do recommend,

+ Nice Product, really like the crash bar design (silver)
+ general quality and packing of goods
– silver color does not match de handlebar color 100%
– accuracy of fit is ok, right side bracket (connecting bracket of lower / upper part) does not align perfectly, but once all the screws are tight it seems to be fine

Thanks for your feedback. We constantly test fit our Tenere 700 crash bars. As long as the recommended lose fitting technique is applied, the installation is a breeze.
We don’t colour match the silver with anything on the bike, especially the handle bars. There’s also a disclaimer that we don’t guarantee colour matching at all, unless specified otherwise.

I actually wanted crash bars in black because my Ténéré 700 is black. But when I ordered, black wasn’t available, so I bought the red ones and thought I’d just spray them black myself. Now they are red on the matt black T7 and I have to say I like it!
The shipping from Hungary to Switzerland was absolutely great, very fast and reliable.
I think it’s bad that there are no assembly instructions in paper form. Not everyone has access to YouTube in their basement—Yamaha for example, does a much better job with its OEM instructions …
The workmanship of the crash bars is very good. However, I can’t judge how strong the crash bars really are, as I haven’t crashed since they were fitted. But based on the design features, I think they can withstand a lot more than the OEM version! Above all, the much better extra lateral support probably makes a big difference … That was also the main reason for buying the Outback Motortek’s. The OEM’s were unusable after a slight slip on ice.

Thanks for your feedback, Norbert. Our YouTube installation videos can be downloaded on mobile devices, so you can play the video without internet access. The installation process of our crash bars can be difficult and putting all the steps on paper would make it a few pages. We used to offer printed manuals, but the questions regarding certain details were simply overwhelming. Ever since we switched to videos only we barely get installation related questions. We can even include extra tips and tricks in our videos.
