The new X-Frame sliding “X” plate design allows our tool box here to be installed on the inside both with the X-Frame version and standard pannier racks. For standard pannier racks, 1x “X” bracket must be purchased separately in order to install our tool box.

X-Frame
Designed and manufactured by Outback Motortek. The new X-Frames are the most universal and functional side pannier frames yet, allowing simple, secure mounting of Rotopax, hard panniers and soft luggage.
Matte black powder coated mild steel frames with an alloy X-bracket with multiple Rotopax mounting positions for custom weight distribution, as well as multiple tie-down points. You can even remove the X-Bracket from your frames when running Hard Luggage to reduce the frame weight.

I was looking for a flexible set of racks to carry soft, hard or rotopax. With Kriega being my back of choice just now these racks require no back plates. They’re also symmetrical which mean you can mount a toolbox or spare fuel on the non exhaust side. On the rear of a 790 they come in at 600 mm wide. These are probably the best racks for the 790 just now and backed up by the personal service I received I’m very pleased.

I purchased this product for the 2023 model KTM 790 Adventure. It is a very successful product in terms of material quality and workmanship. The only problem I have is that you have to remove the exhaust for the connection on the exhaust side. Otherwise, the bolts are not installed. This is not a difficult process, you can put it into place immediately afterwards. I advise.
