KTM 690 Enduro R and SMC R models have very few tough mounting points, thus it makes more sense to create one solid and compact set of crash bars that stay close to the few mounting points instead of being far spread out that results in an overly flexible and “soft” structure.

We wanted to preserve the simplicity and light weight of the KTM 690 Enduro R / SMC R so we decided to keep it simple and effective through a frame mounted design that proved itself to be reliable against drops and tip overs. We tested the crash bars and the Skid Plate on some gnarly sections of the Spanish and Italian Trans Euro Trail!

Tight fit, tolerances a little bit off on one side, was tough getting the bolt in and threaded.

The look and finishing of the bars are great. But some adaptations (spacers) have been added to keep the bar from the exhaust pipe.
Nevertheless, I recommend this product.

I bought a Crash Bars for the KTM 690 enduro r 2020, the service was excellent and fast, the Crash Bars integrates very nicely with the motorcycle, it looks like the motorcycle came out of the factory that way. As for the effectiveness of the Crash Bars, to my delight I have not yet had a chance to test it, but it seems that it will definitely do the job if necessary.
