We wanted to preserve the simplicity and light weight of the KTM 690 Enduro R / SMC R so we decided to keep it simple and effective through a frame mounted design that proved itself to be reliable against drops and tip overs. We tested the crash bars and the Skid Plate on some gnarly sections of the Spanish and Italian Trans Euro Trail!

Description
  • Quality 21mm steel tube with 2mm wall thickness.
  • Less is more – We avoided covering the entire motorcycle with crash bars that look like a cobweb. Considering the KTM 690 Enduro R/SMC R’s available mounting points, it made more sense to create one solid and compact crash bar that stays close to the motorcycle to better protect the expensive and fragile parts.
  • Powder coated – Combined with sandblasting, it’s a killer combination to protect the product’s surface. No frills, and tough just like your KTM 690 Enduro R/SMC R!

Compatibility

Compatible with 2012-2018 KTM 690 Enduro R (not compatible with the particle canister included on some 2012-2018 models).

Compatible with 2019-2024 KTM 690 Enduro R and SMC R.

    Tight fit, tolerances a little bit off on one side, was tough getting the bolt in and threaded.

    The look and finishing of the bars are great. But some adaptations (spacers) have been added to keep the bar from the exhaust pipe.
    Nevertheless, I recommend this product.

      Thank you for the compliments. There’s space between the crash bars cross brace and the exhaust header. Spacers are not necessary.

    I bought a Crash Bars for the KTM 690 enduro r 2020, the service was excellent and fast, the Crash Bars integrates very nicely with the motorcycle, it looks like the motorcycle came out of the factory that way. As for the effectiveness of the Crash Bars, to my delight I have not yet had a chance to test it, but it seems that it will definitely do the job if necessary.
