Lower Crash Bars
- Quality 27mm/1.06″ steel tube with 2mm wall thickness – Strong enough to withstand the impact when your heavy motorcycle falls on its side! Our crash bars will take the beat and catch your bike when it falls.
- One of the biggest advantages of our crash bars is the all around 27mm diameter tubing that rests on 4mm and 5mm thick steel mounting tabs which offers reliable protection for the fairing and the radiator.
- Hand MIG welded – It’s all about the strength! We continue to follow our philosophy: toughness and functionality over appearance.
- Less is more –Â The design is based on the philosophy that less is more, hence we created a compact and sturdy set of crash bars that stay close to the mounting points. This system perfectly complements the sporty, aggressive lines of the Africa Twin.
- Powder coated – Combined with sandblasting, it’s a killer combination to protect the product’s surface. No frills, and tough just like your Africa Twin!

Compatible with 2016-2019 Standard model.
Compatible with 2018-2019 Adventure Sports model.
Engine Case Guard
- Entirely frame mounted using 4mm and 5mm steel tabs for maximum strength
- Crash bars reinforcement – The engine guard is mounted onto the crash bars through a reinforcement bar.
- 27mm diameter tubing – Handles the weight of the bike under impact (crash).
- Sandblasted and powder coated surface – Tough coating that lasts.
Engine Case Guard Compatibility
Compatible with 2016-2019 Standard model.
Compatible with 2018-2019 Adventure Sports model.
Outback Motortek Lower Crash Bars must be installed in order to install the engine case guard.
Compatible with both the manual and DCT model variants.
Not compatible with DCT foot shifter pedal.
Compatible with both Standard and Adventure Sports original skid plates only after performing these minor modifications.
Please note: We do not guarantee compatibility with any aftermarket exhaust headers/manifolds due to the different shapes and designs carried out by dozens of exhaust manufacturers. We can only guarantee fitment with original Honda CRF1000L Standard and Adventure Sports exhaust header/manifold. Thank you for your understanding.

The lower crash bars are an integral piece to protecting your Africa Twin, they are fully frame mounted and have proven to be effective in drops and tip overs. Additionally they are the foundation for the Engine Case Guards and the Upper Crash Bars!

Important: Changing the air filter in your Africa Twin is a big job that requires the removal of the plastic fairings. You can still remove, or have the plastic fairings removed, by your dealer’s mechanic without having to remove the lower crash bars.

Possibly THE BEST crashbars for the Africa Twin. A great side benefit is that they are by far the least aesthetically intrusive. I even forget I have them on when I look at my Africa Twin.

The installation is a bit tricky – especially if using the combo – but in the end everything fits. The first right bar had a slightly wrong welded flange resulting in not fitting drill holes but Lorry was very cooperative and just sent me another bar for free! The new one fitted perfectly.
I really appreciated the communication with Lorry and the perfect service.
The crash bars look really great and solid, fortunately I haven’t had the need to use them so far.

1. the DCT motor cover must be removed in order to mount the crash bars.
2. fitment could be better, there is quite a struggle to align everything together.
